Hazelton spent three seasons in Blacksburg, played his final collegiate season at Missouri, and went undrafted in the 2021 NFL draft.
After a solid freshman season at Ball State back in 2016, Hazelton transferred to Virginia Tech. He redshirted in 2017. In 2018, he made an immediate impact, catching 51 passes for 802 yards and eight touchdowns.
In 2019, Hazelton missed some time with injuries but caught 31 passes for 527 passes and eight touchdowns.
After the season, he left the Hokies, one of many Virginia Tech wide receivers to transfer in recent years.
The 6-foot-3, 206-pound Hazelton originally signed the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent. He was released on Aug. 11.
During his time in Blacksburg, Hazelton was Virginia Tech’s top receiver. His 16 touchdowns in two seasons is an impressive number.
Best of luck, Damon.
