The Virginia Tech Hokies (9-5, 1-2) look to get back on the winning track Wednesday night when they host the 22nd-ranked Clemson Tigers (11-3, 1-2) from Cassell Coliseum.

Tech enters Wednesday’s game, having lost back-to-back ACC games at Wake Forest and Florida State. The Demon Deacons dominated the Hokies, but VT blew several opportunities to put away the Seminoles over the weekend.

Clemson started the season red hot but, like Virginia Tech, has also lost two consecutive ACC games to Miami and North Carolina.

The Tigers are once again led by senior center PJ Hall, who is averaging 19.5 points and six rebounds per game. Syracuse transfer Joe Girard averages 15 points per game and shoots 43% from 3-point range. The Tigers average 38 rebounds per contest, led by 6-foot-8 junior Ian Schieffelin, who averages 10 boards per game.

The Hokies are led by the trio of center Lynn Kidd and guards Hunter Cattoor and Sean Pedulla. Kidd, who began his career at Clemson, averages 15 points and seven rebounds per game. His battle against Hall will be fun to watch. Cattoor (14.4 PPG) and Pedulla (14.4 PPG) are coming off outstanding performances against FSU but didn’t receive enough help their teammates.
