Before we get to Talking Turkey, let’s do our usual perusal of this week’s superlatives (not many there) and get the weather report for Louisville for Saturday. There is a serious cold front coming through, and we need to see if the team will be playing in real mid-autumn conditions. There are promising things about this game, and there are scary things, too. Louisville is doing a Blackout for Halloween. We got in the spirit with our uniform reveal, but our standard away duds aren’t snazzy all-blacks with red trim.
Now we go to the Weather Underground for the anticipated Game Day Weather Forecast.
It’s looking like the weather is going to be a crisp mid to high 50’s to start the game and a bit of a drop off in temps as the sun disappears for the last day of Daylight Savings for 2020.
SIR! THE UNIFORM OF THE DAY IS TRADITIONAL AWAY WITH WHITE JERSEYS OVER MAROON PANTS WITH MAROON HELMETS! SIR!

He’s been flying around and impressing everyone. Congratulations Keshon!!!
Since there were no league awards and recognitions for last week, we’ll just head right to some of the facts about this weekend from Hokie Sports. We haven’t faced them since our win at the 2006 Gator Bowl.

So, Let’s Talk Turkey
Now it’s time for the Poll. Give us your opinion if none of these match.
Poll
So, how is this one going to go?

37%
The Hokies are focused and in a foul mood from the prior loss. They steam into Louisville with some redemption in mind. The run game works, the pass game is limited, and the Hokies run for an O/U over 60 and a spread of 8
-
37%
The Hokies still haven’t fixed their issues on the defensive line, and their soft run coverage gives up too much on the ground. It ends up a running shoot out with the Cardinals grabbing a 7 point win with an O/U of 80
-
21%
It’s a fit and start game with a fit and start performance by both teams. The O/U stays below 40, With the Hokies getting one more stop on the ground for a 3 point win.

Kentucky can run, but their passing is weak. Tech manages to keep their scoring down, but can’t seem to score itself. This becomes a grinding game between the 20’s with lots of 3’s and Kentucky nips an O/U of 30 by 2.
John’s Prediction:
42-34 Hokies But I’d be lying my tail off if I didn’t think that it could be the other way around.
