It was a break-even week for the overall record, and a road trip that was definitely an up and down ride. Hokies get thumped by Radford in Radford, and then travel to Tallahassee to win an ACC series against the Seminoles. GO HOKIES!!!
It’s the middle of April, the big Hokie Hi weekend has passed, and the biggest of the big campus celebration events was the Spring Football Game. There were lots of things to look at and analyze but for now, here are some shots and comments from the game. GO HOKIES!!!
The Hokies ACC fortunes have really turned around of late. The Hokies played three solid but very different games against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, winning each one and closing in on a .500 ACC record. Lots of hammers out for the final two games. GO HOKIES!!!
It’s a big weekend in Blacksburg. It’s open House, the run and walk for Remembrance, and baseball at Atlantic Union Bank Park. The Yellow Jackets of the other ACC Tech (Georgia Tech) are in Blacksburg, and the Hokies need to get some momentum back. GO HOKIES!!!
It was such a beautiful evening for baseball under the lights in Blacksburg. Too bad that it was a pleasant visit for Liberty and Tennessee. The Hokies drop both Tuesday night games on the diamonds with issues everywhere. Tee it up and go again this weekend. GO HOKIES!!!
Congratulations to KT and TSoule for being selected to play in the WNBA! KT was picked in the 2nd round, and TSoule the 3rd. Hokie Nation is thrilled for them. GO HOKIES!!!
The weather in the Durham area was atrocious on Friday and Saturday. Bad enough that Duke and Tech agreed to cancel the opening game that kept moving, and just play a doubleheader on Easter Sunday. It was as most doubleheaders are, a split. GO HOKIES!!!
Not only is this a short end of the stick grudge match, but the Hokies are desperate for some ACC wins and some quality balance this season. The Hokies win a series against an ACC team, yes, but also it’s the Hoos! GO HOKIES!!!
The announcement on Instagram and Twitter is flying all over the place. Liz Kitley has chosen to return to Virginia Tech, taking advantage of her COVID year, and playing basketball at Home in the 2023/2024 Season! Yea Liz!!! GO HOKIES!!!
We’d be disappointed, if this hadn’t been such a special season, and a major triumph of its own. The Virginia Tech Hokie Women’s Basketball Program has arrived, and though enduring a tough loss, has placed itself in the top ranks of women’s basketball for quite a while. GO HOKIES!!!!
It has certainly been a tough season for the Hokies in the ACC this year. The team is extremely young after being eviscerated by the MLB Draft and graduations and learning to win close games is still a challenge. No worries, Coach Szefc is an excellent teacher. GO HOKIES!!!
