The Hokies head out to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to BB&T Stadium to take on the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest for their second in the Atlantic/Coastal crossover variable Home/Home game. The Hokies showed up and thumped the Boston College Eagles pretty hard. Bryan and John go over the game, and talk a bit about Wake Forest next weekend. Oh, and some folks got noticed after last weekend. GO HOKIE!!!

It’s Friday morning! The day before the big game. Carolina is 2-0 just like we are, except that they keep running bye weeks. Their wins haven’t been anything to write home about, and there is a whole lot of smoke and sunshine going on. Hokies have a peer challenge, and need to rise to the occasion. BIG UPDATE! The Defensive Backfield has taken a serious COVID related hit. We are a touch late on the podcast, there were a few issues in recording, but we got it in. Virginia Tech travels to Raleigh-Durham to seek some serious revenge against the struggling Blue Devils. Bryan and John go over the high points, and make predictions. Take the Poll... GO HOKIES!!!

So, you record podcasts. Then stuff happens and the work becomes more stale than the news. Bryan and John start the new season of coverage, and immediately get run over by current events. 2020 is its own meme, isn’t it? Hey, the Hokies haven’t touch the field and were #20 though. GO HOKIES!!!
Bryan and John talk about the last two squads on the Roster Review. The Defensive Line still has challenges, but has become a solid high effort unit. The Special Teams players have a couple of legs that have been noticed, nationally. It’s a good way to end the review series. GO HOKIES!!!
Bryan and John have a go at working the rosters for the Linebackers and Defensive Backfield (Safeties and Cornerbacks). We have a solid 2 deep at nearly every position on the defensive mid and backfield. With the new defensive staff, and the potential of stirring things up a bit, the Hokies’ defense is looking healthier than 2018 and 2019. That’s good. GO HOKIES!!!
So, now we catch up with the Offensive Line and the Receiver Corps - We are combining the Tight Ends in this podcast because they play in both groups. The experience issues of 2018 and 2019 are gone, and what has emerged is a sound set of offensive players.
Bryan and John have a great interview with DJ Harvey, our recent defensive back commitment from Southern California. This young man exudes a quiet confidence and commitment to family that he felt that Virginia Tech offered to him. Listen in, he’s going to be a real catch (or maybe interception?)... GO HOKIES!!!!
It’s our first roster review Podcast. This time we cover the Runningbacks and Quarterbacks. There are quite a few new faces in the ball carrying position, but the QB roster is pretty much the same as 2019. Check in and listen to see if you agree.
