Virginia Tech Football
Gobbler Country's coverage of Virginia Tech Hokies football.
Another Hokie enters the portal as VT sets to host multiple visitors over the weekend.
Tulane is 11-2 and plays in the AAC.
The transfer portal is expected to be wilder than usual this time around.
The first of what could be several moves.
Time for regular season wrap ups, and this good, bad, and ugly will concentrate mostly on the season, and not spend much time with the Hoos since that was amazingly GOOD. GO HOKIES!!!
The perfect way to end the regular season.
Hokies dominated from start to finish.
A beautiful call on fourth down from Tyler Bowen
This is it. The last week. Or not. If the Hokies win, it’s a bowl bid, if they lose it’s home for the holidays. Which one do they want more? All will be answered by 6:30 PM. GO HOKIES!!!!
Is this it or will there be one more around New Years? The thing that is bothersome is that it’s listed as close. The Hoos aren’t sporting a good record, but they haven’t lacked in determination. This one is basically a toss up, and it shouldn’t be. Take the Poll. GO HOKIES!!!
Celebrating our Seniors with some candids as they said goodbye to Lane Stadium as players. We are going to miss them, but it’s college football and all things come to graduation. GO HOKIES!!!
It’s safe to say this will be all over Virginia Tech’s locker room.
The Hokies didn’t show life until it was too late.
For the second time in three weeks, the Hokies didn’t show up.
It’s time to cruise the football announcements and cough up our predictions. This isn’t going to be an easy game, folks. It just isn’t. Bowl eligibility, program momentum, Senior Night, Final Home Game of the season... lots on the line. GO HOKIES!!!
It’s the final home game of the 2023 Season. There is a whole lot on the line, Defending Lane, Senior Night Pride, Bowl Eligibility, and Making the Turn. A ‘W’ gets that all accomplished. GO HOKIES!!!
Virginia Tech football: Kyron Drones, Dorian Strong earn ACC honors for their play in win over Boston College
Another terrific week for Kyron Drones.
Every week that we don’t photograph, there is a G, B, and U unless there is a compelling reason for an "extra". Well, this one was mostly all good things. That’s also a very good thing. NC State week starts after you finish this. GO HOKIES!!!!
The Hokies roll into Chestnut Hill with a bad attitude and a determination to take dangerous BC QB Castellanos out of the game early. They also came to run. Hokies accomplished both goals in a complete game. GO HOKIES!!!
It’s Friday before a really important game on Saturday at noon in Boston. Chestnut Hill has been conquered by the Hokies before. They need to do it again to regain some momentum as the final three games of the season arrive with possibilities. GO HOKIES!!!
We talk to those who know the Boston College Eagles better than anyone.
The second-year NFL QB with some big praise for Lane Stadium.
One final look at the Louisville fiasco. The hoops wins were heartening, but we are still obligated to talk about the football games. Louisville is just one we really don’t want to talk about or remember for that matter. GO HOKIES!!!
It’s nearly showtime. What’s the football news, and what are the predictions for this one. This one is going to be difficult to predict because the head and heart are at odds with each other. GO HOKIES!!!
The first weekend in November and the first of the final four games of the season ends up being the most difficult. Louisville is a surprise team this season. Their coach has them ranked and pushing for a super season. We’ll see why it’s the most difficult, and then ask you for your opinion. GO HOKIES!!!
We talk to someone who knows the Louisville Cardinals better than anyone.
Could the Hokies be without multiple key starters?
It’s Virginia Tech vs. Louisville and it has major implications.
The Hokies get Miami back as an annual rival.
It’s the final four games of the regular season (Ooops, did I just say, "regular season"? - knocking wood, knocking wood) and the Hokies have 3 games on the road and 1 at home to prepare for. Louisville, Boston College, NC State, and the Hoos are the home stretch. Let’s look at the adjusted risk levels. No predictions or guesses. GO HOKIES!!!
